Still coloring within the lines, though at some point it would be nice to get our spending below $1000. I know that’s more than possible since there are people who live well on $500 a month in Western Panama.
We splurged for my birthday and headed to the “city” and up to the mountains for a little adventure in comfort. The biggest single expense this month was the botched car that we rented to fill our propane tanks…not realizing that it was a Saturday and the propane place is closed on Sunday. Epic fail, especially when you factor in the time and gas. The expensive groceries can be explained by a surprise trip to PriceSmart in which we filled my backpack with canned chicken, parmesan cheese, Craisins and snack mix. Score!
