Neglected boat in Turtle Bay.
We’re in the US now and have been for almost three weeks. As expected, time has been passing quite quickly and even days without any plans (social or otherwise) come and go feeling full. Now that we’re back in the land of the familiar, the draw to inform friends and family of our whereabouts and share our latest adventures via the blog has dwindled. Suffice it to say, our blog has been, and will likely continue to be, neglected in the coming months while we’re here. This is partially ’cause we’re busy, partially ’cause we don’t have that much to say, and partially ’cause we’re lazy. Don’t worry, we haven’t decided to abandon it altogether (yet).
Unlike a neglected boat, when you leave blogs alone they don’t accumulate unsightly things like mold, spider webs, rats, bird poop, and stale puddles. Our neglected blog won’t burn down or sink (at least, in a literal sense). This is a very fortunate thing. The worst thing you’ll see is longer spans of time elapsing between posts.
There are still a lot of back posts that I need to spiff up and put online. Although I plan to get all caught up this summer (so we can start fresh again in September!), the blog is going to play second fiddle to hanging with our friends and work that actually, you know, pays something :).
Happy summer!!!!
